"We have just spent a week at Cotswold Yurts with our two children, aged 8 months and 3 ½ years – and we loved it. Due to availability, we had to split the week between the Lillyhorn and the Oakridge yurts. The yurts are tastefully decorated, cosy (think of fairy lights and lanterns) and easily heated using the wood burner. The outdoor yurt kitchens are well equipped for cooking a family meal. The compost loos in the woods were fine to use, even with our 3 ½ year old who was fascinated by the process of getting to them and putting in the ashes and saw dust! The yurts and kitchens are all very clean and have Ecover and Neil’s Yard soaps and fresh flowers – nice touches to go with the tastefully decorated and equipped yurts. All in all, the yurts and their surroundings are a lovely place to relax and switch off from the rest of the world. For a family, it's a great way to have some quality time together in one big room. Graham, who runs the place with his partner Blue, built the yurts himself. Both went out of their way to help us out, always at hand to help with any requests whilst leaving you to get on with settling in. Both make you feel like the only sensible thing to do is to chill! The shared farm kitchen works well for keeping food in the fridge/freezer and cooking if the weather plays up. The showers are clean and the afternoon tea when you arrive is a nice detail that makes you feel at home. The surrounding area is stunning with picturesque villages, an outdoor pool nearby, farm shops, beautiful towns with nice pubs and the Cotswold Beach and Water park all within a half hour drive away – enough to entertain the whole family. There are several supermarkets within a 15 minute drive away. There are donkeys, cows, chickens and rabbits to entertain the kids on the farm itself, as well as plenty of walks to nearby cafees and pubs. All in all, a lovely place to spend your holidays. You’re guaranteed to switch off from the world whilst pushing the wheel barrow around and chopping up fire wood for the BBQ. A lovely place for a romantic break for two, or an active holiday for a family! Stayed July 2014, travelled with family" Pernille & David, 06/2014   "It was stunning, the weather was horrid but the atmosphere on the whole site was just amazing. Everyone was so friendly and eager to help in any way they could." Henrietta, 02/07/2012 "The yurt was fantastic, larger than expected and the woodburner meant it was warm. It was like being inside and outside at the same time, as the walls and skylight let a good amount of light in. It felt like a fantastically private location, despite there being the farm house with it's communal kitchen and hot showers and toilet only 5 minutes away. The yurt is immaculately done out, with cosy throws/fur rugs, a picnic hamper, mirror, fairy lights and a well stocked kitchen in terms of crockery and utensils. Every little detail had been thought of!" Rachael, 22/06/2012 "The thought and detail that has gone into the design of the site is a credit to those involved. From the massive roll top bath looking out into the wood to the extremely high quality bedding the experience just continues to exceed expectations" Richard, 16/05/2011 "Just returned from 4 nights in Sapperton Yurt - absolutely perfect - couldn't be bettered in any way - thanks for giving us the opportunity to get away from it all and just relax." Glenda, 24/04/2011 “It was amazing. It really was idyllic. We felt very self contained. Everybody was very nice, but we felt left alone, which was perfect. Everything we needed was at the yurt. The bath was probably one of the best I'll have in my life! Best thing was the huge bath in the forest, with loads of hot water and fairy lights. Worst thing was having to leave!” Jane, 30/08/2010 “It was a truly amazing experience! Best has got to be a bubble bath in the old horse box overlooking your own woodland- perfect! Absolutely although part of me doesn't was to share it with anyone else!” Anneka, 23/07/2010   "Dear Graham & Blue, just a short note to thank you both for providing us with everything we needed for the perfect honeymoon. We have found tranquility and peace 2nd to none and want you both to understand (as if you haven't worked it out) that what you have created here is something very special." Eric & Angela Mitchell "What a loverly way to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Even the rain, wind & thunder did not stop the enjoyment but made the woodland bath & wood burner more fun! Do we really have to re-join the real world? Thank you." Linda & Steve "Amazing! I can't get over how beautiful it all is! So comfortable too! Loved all the different areas...the bbq/campfire, the table/chairs, the bath! and of course the stunning yurt. We feel very lucky to have spent our honeymoon here, thank you." Tim & Suzy Leary "When we first arrived at Sapperton I could not believe what I was seeing, it looked nothing like I imagined, it was so much better. The Swiss family Robinson dream. At the same time we were so impressed by the attention to detail, you have clearly though out exactly what a romantic retreat should be like... sheer perfection. We are now torn between telling everyone we know about it and keeping it to ourselves...! The all new, Mr & Mrs Benson

My husband and I have just spent a weekend at Sapperton yurt, what can I say it was an absolutely amazing experience. The yurt is immaculate, clean and the attention to detail has been well thought out. There has been no expensive spared, with Neil Yard’s soaps, cake and chocolates to welcome you. We will definitely return.

We stayed in the Oakridge yurt for four nights, the yurt is truly amazing and a lot of thought has gone into making this a truly wonderful experience from little details like the fresh flowers to the subtle solar lighting. The roll top bath in the horse box added that little bit of luxury. The meadow in which the yurt is set is beautiful with wild orchids growing and lovely views, and so peaceful an ideal spot to relax and unwind, we would like to say a big thank you for making this a very memorable experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the lily horn yurt in May 2015.
It was a last min booking for my birthday and tbh it has been the best thing we have ever booked/done!
The yurt was amazing, picture perfect. The kitchen area and Great platform was incredible. We watched the sunsets, and sat by the fire every night! It’s so peaceful and the whole surroundings and views were something out of a book! It was the most perfect relaxing holiday ever!
The hosts were extremely helpful and couldn’t have been friendlier. We were so expressed with the yurt, and everything else it offers! That we asked if our two friends could stay for One night, at the end of our stay!
As we had to share the experience with them!
Graham said yes and even brought down another double bed for our friends! So last minute too! Thank you so much, they loved it and we are all defiantly going to book and come again! Our parents are all keen to Visit too! As we’ve raved about it to much! Hah
There’s loads to do in the surrounding area. The towns near-by are so pretty and lots of quirky shops and even a great market! It was great to be so secluded, yet have so much to do if we fancied it!
Do not hesitate to book this! It’s worth every penny and more!
Thank you so much for the great experience and we can only apologise for not reviewing sooner! Have a fab Christmas xx

Spent 3 days in Mole end yurt. What a treat, felt so relaxed, the bird song and wildlife are beautiful.

The attention to detail is brilliant, the facilities are very clean, and very comfortable. Will definitely be back, very envious of your front garden.
